This is another creation/compilation from actor/director/writer/artist/architect/producer/blah/blah/blah, Vincent Gallo. ...the guy is an artistic genius!!!!!!, whether you like him or not.
This is quite a unique album. To fully appreciate the songs, it definitely helps to be aware of the context for which the music was written. Vincent includes amusing sleeve notes to inform us of where he was in life at the time of each song's creation, and some of it is pretty damn funny. Gallo is a unique personality, therefore, his music is a direct reflection of that.Each track evokes a mood, correlating to whatever scene it was written for. Gallo had a passion for collecting instruments, and there is a wide diversity of sound throughout the album. Come to think of it, I believe his voice is only heard on one or two tracks.
The album is very ambient, very delicate; I hope to someday have the opportunity to watch some of the films the music was made for.
